Programs & Services
Children’s Advocacy Center is a child-focused, facilities-based program with representatives from many disciplines who work together to investigate, prosecute, and treat child abuse. Research shows that our one-time interview with a specially-trained forensic interviewer does away with the trauma a child would experience in separate interviews with police, DCFS, prosecutors, and doctors.
The Children’s Advocacy Center acts as a neutral third party, coordinating services to the child and non-offending family members in the investigation process.
Youth Mentoring contributes to strengthening kids, families, and the community as a whole by providing successful mentoring programs for all children who need and want them.
Kids matched with a mentor are generally more confident and have greater self-esteem, are less likely to do drugs or drink alcohol, have greater academic success, and get along better with family and friends.
The Center for Counseling staff are a diverse group of experienced, licensed professionals who can assist during life’s journey. Our staff includes counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and play therapists.
From children to seniors, we are prepared to provide the type of counseling you or a loved one may need.

Community Action Program strives to help low-income families achieve and maintain their highest level of self-sufficiency by providing a variety of programs. We have two primary purposes: to provide essential anti-poverty programs, and to advocate for the needs of the poor in their communities.
This program networks with various social service agencies, community groups, and businesses in the county to better serve the low-income population in DeKalb County.
